1.1A Senate resolution
1.2honoring the life of Conservation Officer Eugene Wynn.
1.3WHEREAS, those who take an active and involved role in the protection of our natural
1.4resources and betterment of their communities perform an important service deserving of special
1.5legislative recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, Conservation Officer Eugene Wynn graduated from the University of Wisconsin
1.7with a degree in Natural Resources and Conservation Management before serving with distinction
1.8in the Enforcement Division of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for 18 years; and
1.9WHEREAS, Officer Wynn lost his life while performing duties related to his work on April
1.1020, 2019; and
1.11WHEREAS, along with his wife Heather, his children Sophie and EJ, and his parents Eugene
1.12Wynn, Sr. and Linda Wynn, the State of Minnesota mourns the loss of this dedicated community
1.13servant; and
1.14NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.15recognizes the service of Officer Wynn and extends its sincere condolences to all who loved him
1.16on the event of his passing.
1.17BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.18enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.19Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the family of
1.20Conservation Officer Eugene Wynn.
