1.2honoring Cassie Breza of Victoria on receiving a 2017 Comcast Leaders and Achievers
1.3Scholarship.
1.4WHEREAS, the Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship program recognizes high
1.5school students on the basis of community service, leadership skills, positive attitude, and academic
1.6achievement; and
1.7WHEREAS, the program underscores the philosophy that young people should have every
1.8opportunity to achieve their potential and be motivated as catalysts for positive change in their
1.9schools and communities; and
1.10WHEREAS, based on her outstanding accomplishments, Cassie Breza of Victoria has been
1.11nominated to receive this award; she is planning on attending the University of Minnesota - Twin
1.12Cities; and
1.13WHEREAS, the 13th Annual Comcast Scholarship Recognition Event will be held on
1.14Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the State Capitol from 4 to 6 p.m.; and
1.15NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.16congratulates Cassie Breza of Victoria on receiving a 2017 Comcast Leaders and Achievers
1.17Scholarship, and extends best wishes to her for the future.
1.18BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.19enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.20Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Cassie Breza.
