1.1A Senate resolution
1.2commending Connie Svendsen for her many years of dedicated service to the education
1.3profession.
1.4WHEREAS, Connie Svendsen was born in Howard Lake, Minnesota, on November 19,
1.51957, and has three brothers and two sisters; she graduated from Waverly High School and earned
1.6a general secretary certificate from Hutchinson Vocational Technical Institute; and
1.7WHEREAS, Connie and her husband, Bob, have three sons: Matt, Michael, and Tom; two
1.8daughters-in-law: Kristen and Becca; and four grandchildren: Mason, Ava, Isabelle, and Emmitt;
1.9and
1.10WHEREAS, she started with the Anoka Hennepin School District on September 29, 1995,
1.11as a secretary with Early Childhood Family Education, and just completed her 23rd year with the
1.12district; and
1.13WHEREAS, Connie is very kind and caring, always has a smile and warm word for others,
1.14creates beautiful fliers and bulletin boards, is extremely skilled in using the computer, and is willing
1.15to help and do anything she can; and
1.16WHEREAS, she has been an ambassador and a great asset to the Anoka Hennepin Early
1.17Childhood Family Education program as the first voice or face families hear or see; and
1.18WHEREAS, she is a great organizer and her professionalism, kindness, caring, and knowledge
1.19have been invaluable to the program; and
1.20WHEREAS, Connie has helped with children in the classroom on many occasions, and her
1.21gift of relationship-building with families and staff make her one of the hearts of the program; and
1.22NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.23honors Connie Svendsen for being a true champion of children and thanks her for her many years
1.24of dedicated service to the state's young learners and their families.
2.1BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
2.2enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
2.3Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Connie Svendsen.
