1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Paulo Guimaraes for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America; and
1.4WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement
1.5that is worthy of recognition; and
1.6WHEREAS, Paulo Guimaraes is a member of Boy Scouts of America and has displayed
1.7the attributes of a responsible and serving member; and
1.8WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a
1.9community service project, which involved arranging for the transportation of much-needed
1.10household goods to the Crow Creek Indian Reservation in South Dakota; and
1.11WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor was held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the
1.12Plummer Building; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Paulo Guimaraes for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.16copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.17Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Paulo Guimaraes.
