1.1A Senate resolution
1.2recognizing the Hastings Veterans Home on its 40th anniversary.
1.3WHEREAS, the Hastings Veterans Home was established in 1978 to assist veterans struggling
1.4with chemical dependency, mental health illnesses, the effects of aging, and much more; and
1.5WHEREAS, the Domiciliary program provides a safe home environment for approximately
1.6130 veterans of varying ages and medical conditions, providing a modernized care delivery system,
1.7enhanced clinical care, and collaboration with the community; and
1.8WHEREAS, the Hastings Veterans Home is committed to providing a wide range of
1.9high-quality care and services. The home emphasizes rehabilitation and community involvement,
1.10as well as supportive care for the residents; and
1.11WHEREAS, the peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty surrounding the campus make it
1.12easy for residents to appreciate their time there and focus on their care; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates the Hastings Veterans Home on its 40th anniversary.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare an
1.16enrolled copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the
1.17Chair of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to the Hastings Veterans
1.18Home.
