1.1A Senate resolution
1.2congratulating Erik Nelson for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.3WHEREAS, the Eagle Award is the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America;
1.4and
1.5WHEREAS, attaining the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts is an important achievement that
1.6is worthy of recognition; and
1.7WHEREAS, Erik Nelson is a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 476 and has displayed
1.8the attributes of a responsible and serving member; the sponsoring organization for Troop 476 is
1.9Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church of Golden Valley; and
1.10WHEREAS, he has demonstrated mastery of all scouting skills and completed a community
1.11service project; and
1.12WHEREAS, an Eagle Court of Honor will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016; and
1.13NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Minnesota that it
1.14congratulates Erik Nelson for receiving the Eagle Award.
1.15BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is directed to prepare a
1.16copy of this resolution, to be authenticated by the Secretary's signature and that of the Chair of the
1.17Senate Rules and Administration Committee, and transmit it to Erik Nelson.
