captioning in places of public accommodation; proposing coding for new law
in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 363A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin Each place of public accommodation located within the state must enable open
captioning on any television capable of captioning at all times that it uses television to
provide information or entertainment to the public. This section does not apply to a
television that is offered for sale to the public.
