 relating to economic development; appropriating money for a distressed property
redevelopment pilot program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DISTRESSED PROPERTY REDEVELOPMENT PILOT PROGRAM;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $7,000,000 in fiscal year 2022 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to the Neighborhood Development
Center for a statewide pilot program for the redevelopment of distressed properties to create
affordable commercial spaces that include incubator services. This is a onetime appropriation.
