A bill for an act
relating to commerce; prohibiting certain unfair Internet ticket sales by original
sellers; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 609.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

TICKETS AT INFLATED PRICES.

new text begin Any person or entity that serves as the initial seller, over the Internet, of tickets
of admission to a sporting event, theater, musical performance, or place of public
entertainment or amusement of any kind, shall not sell any ticket over the Internet at
greater than face value, either itself or in conjunction with any other ticket seller, until all
tickets have been made available to the general public at face value for at least ten days.
