A bill for an act
 relating to elections; amending requirements for in-person absentee voting polling
places; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 203B.081, subdivision 1.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 203B.081, subdivision 1, is amended to read:


Subdivision 1.

Location; timing.

An eligible voter may vote by absentee ballot in the
office of the county auditor and at any other polling place designated by the county auditor
during the 46 days before the election, except as provided in this section.new text begin Any other polling
place designated by the county auditor pursuant to this section must:

new text begin (1) be at a precinct polling place designated pursuant to section 204B.16; and

new text begin (2) be open for in-person absentee voting for the entire absentee voting period during
the same days and hours as the office of the county auditor is open for in-person absentee
voting.
