A bill for an act
 relating to human services; establishing a pilot project providing grants for
integrated community-based housing; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin INTEGRATED COMMUNITY-BASED HOUSING PILOT PROJECT;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of human services for competitive grants to nonprofits for the initial phase of the integrated
community-based housing pilot project. The commissioner shall award competitive grants
for the planning, design, construction, acquisition, and rehabilitation of permanent supportive
housing that provides integrated community-based settings for people with disabilities and
elderly individuals seeking to remain in their communities. This is a onetime appropriation
and is available until June 30, 2025.
