A bill for an act
 relating to environment; prohibiting resource recovery facilities from operating
near schools and requiring site remediation; proposing coding for new law in
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 115A.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin A resource recovery facility must not be located within one-quarter mile of a school.
The owner of a resource recovery facility prohibited from continuing operations under this
section must completely remediate the facility site after operations cease.
