relating to health; appropriating money to support local and regional emergency
medical services.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; GRANTS TO REGIONAL EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICES SYSTEMS.

new text begin $800,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the Emergency
Medical Services Regulatory Board to support local and regional emergency medical services
under Minnesota Statutes, section 144E.50. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section
144E.50, subdivision 5, the board shall distribute the appropriation equally among the eight
emergency medical services systems. The general fund base for this appropriation is
$1,600,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $1,600,000 in fiscal year 2025.
