  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; authorizing the 
  1.3             commissioner of natural resources to use snowmobile 
  1.4             grant-in-aid funds to reimburse eligible recipients 
  1.5             for certain snowmobile trail grooming equipment 
  1.6             expenses. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [SNOWMOBILE TRAILS AND ENFORCEMENT ACCOUNT; 
  1.9   AUTHORIZATION.] 
  1.10     The commissioner of natural resources may use up to 50 
  1.11  percent of a snowmobile maintenance and grooming grant under 
  1.12  Minnesota Statutes, section 84.83, that was available as of 
  1.13  December 31, 1999, to reimburse the intended recipient for the 
  1.14  actual cost of snowmobile trail grooming equipment to be used 
  1.15  for grant-in-aid trails.  The costs must be incurred in fiscal 
  1.16  year 2000 and recipients seeking reimbursement under this 
  1.17  section must provide acceptable documentation of the costs to 
  1.18  the commissioner.  All applications for reimbursement under this 
  1.19  section must be received no later than September 1, 2000. 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
