A bill for an act
relating to capital investment; appropriating money for capital improvements at
the Minnesota Veterans Home in the city of Hastings.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; HASTINGS VETERANS HOME.

new text begin $59,656,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of administration for predesign; design; site preparation, including demolition; construction;
and furnishing and equipping of capital improvements, including abatement of asbestos and
other hazardous materials, to the Minnesota Veterans Home in the city of Hastings to
accommodate the domiciliary program. This appropriation is available until the project is
completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642. This is a onetime
appropriation.
