  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local government; the town of Wyoming and 
  1.3             the city of Chisago City; exempting the town and the 
  1.4             city from a limitation on the duration of 
  1.5             reimbursement paid to the town for orderly annexed 
  1.6             property. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [WYOMING TOWNSHIP; CITY OF CHISAGO CITY; 
  1.9   MUNICIPAL REIMBURSEMENT.] 
  1.10     Notwithstanding the limitation on duration or equality of 
  1.11  payment imposed under Minnesota Statutes, section 414.036, the 
  1.12  city of Chisago City may provide reimbursement for orderly 
  1.13  annexed property to the town of Wyoming for a period and in such 
  1.14  amounts agreed to by the city and the town under a joint powers 
  1.15  agreement entered into for the purposes of establishing a joint 
  1.16  commercial and business park in the annexed area as described in 
  1.17  section 2. 
  1.18     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.] 
  1.19     Section 1 is effective the day after the latest of:  the 
  1.20  governing body of the city of Chisago City, the town board of 
  1.21  the town of Wyoming, and their chief clerical officers timely 
  1.22  complete their compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.23  645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
