A bill for an act
 relating to capital investment; modifying an appropriation for railroad crossing
safety in Hennepin County; amending Laws 2018, chapter 214, article 1, section
16, subdivision 19, as amended.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Laws 2018, chapter 214, article 1, section 16, subdivision 19, as amended by
Laws 2020, Fifth Special Session chapter 3, article 5, section 30, is amended to read:


Subd. 19.

Hennepin County - Railroad Crossing
Safety

 1,200,000

For one or more grants to Hennepin County
or the affected city in the county to construct
railroad crossing safety improvements in
Hennepin County. Of this amount, deleted text begin $350,000
is for crossings at marked County Road 19 in
the city of Loretto;deleted text end at least $450,000 is for
crossings at deleted text begin Arrowhead Drivedeleted text end new text begin Town Line
Roadnew text end in the city of Medinanew text begin and the city of
Independencenew text end ; and at least $400,000 is for
crossings at East Lake Street and Barry
Avenue in the city of Wayzata. Any unspent
portion of this appropriation remaining after
completion of a project listed in this
subdivision, after written notice to the
commissioner of management and budget, is
available for the purposes of this subdivision.
