  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; appropriating money 
  1.3             for permanent exhibits at the North West Company Fur 
  1.4             Post Interpretive Center; authorizing the sale of 
  1.5             state bonds. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [NORTH WEST COMPANY FUR POST EXHIBITS.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] $600,000 is appropriated 
  1.9   from the bond proceeds fund to the Minnesota historical society 
  1.10  to construct permanent exhibits at the North West Company Fur 
  1.11  Post Interpretive Center.  This appropriation is added to the 
  1.12  appropriation in Laws 1998, chapter 404, section 25, subdivision 
  1.13  5. 
  1.14     Subd. 2.  [BOND SALE.] To provide the money appropriated in 
  1.15  this act from the bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of 
  1.16  finance shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an amount up 
  1.17  to $600,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with the effect 
  1.18  prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, 
  1.19  and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
