A bill for an act
relating to liquor; authorizing the issuance of malt liquor and wine licenses to
certain retailers currently licensed to sell 3.2 beer.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin EXISTING 3.2 PERCENT MALT LIQUOR LICENSES.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, by the effective date of this section, the
governing body of a city or county shall issue to a seasonal resort owner who is currently
licensed under Minnesota Statutes, section 340A.403, subdivision 1, for the off-sale of 3.2
percent malt liquor, a license for the off-sale of malt liquor and a license for the off-sale of
wine.

section, apply to the issuance of a license under this section.

and operates a seasonal resort, within the meaning of Minnesota Statutes, section 273.13,
subdivision 22, paragraph (b).
