relating to taxation; property tax; providing for supplemental county program
aid payment.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin SUPPLEMENTAL COUNTY PROGRAM AID PAYMENT.

new text begin (a) Before the money appropriated to county need aid is apportioned among the
counties, as provided in Minnesota Statutes, section 477A.0124, subdivision 3, for aids
payable in 2017 only, the total amount of aid paid to Roseau County shall be increased by
$946,000. This increased aid shall be used to compensate Roseau County for the timber
revenue loss resulting from the April 2015 Palsburg wildfire.

new text begin (b) The increased aid under this section shall be paid in the same manner and at the
same time as the regular aid payments under Minnesota Statutes, section 477A.0124.

new text begin (c) For aids payable in 2017 only, the total aid paid to counties under Minnesota
Statutes, section 477A.03, subdivision 2b, paragraph (a), is $104,741,000.
