A bill for an act
 relating to education finance; establishing a school safety and technology levy
program; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 126C.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin [126C.441] NORTHEAST MINNESOTA TECHNOLOGY AND
SAFETY LEVY.

new text begin A district that is a member of a tax relief area, as defined by section 273.134,
paragraph (b), may levy an amount equal to $50 times the adjusted pupil units for the
school year. The levy may be used for any allowable purpose under section 126C.10,
subdivision 14, or 126C.44, paragraph (a).
