  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; modifying fees for 
  1.3             cross-country ski pass; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             1996, section 85.42. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 85.42, is 
  1.7   amended to read: 
  1.8      85.42 [USER FEE.] 
  1.9      The fee for an annual cross-country ski pass is $5 $10 for 
  1.10  an individual pass or $7.50 $12.50 for a combination husband and 
  1.11  wife pass.  The fee for a three-year pass is $14 $25 for an 
  1.12  individual pass or $21 $30 for a combination husband and wife 
  1.13  pass.  This fee shall be collected at the time the pass is 
  1.14  purchased.  Three-year passes are valid for three years 
  1.15  beginning the previous July 1.  Annual passes are valid for one 
  1.16  year beginning the previous July 1.  Passes are not transferable.
  1.17     The cost for a daily cross-country skier pass is $1.  This 
  1.18  fee shall be collected at the time the pass is purchased.  The 
  1.19  daily pass is valid only for the date designated on the pass 
  1.20  form.
