relating to education finance; appropriating money to establish after-school and
summer STEM programming.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MIND FOUNDRY LEARNING FOUNDATION.

new text begin $503,000 in fiscal year 2019 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of education for a grant to the Mind Foundry Learning Foundation to establish STEM
Education Center after-school and summer programming to inspire and educate underserved
youth in St. Paul, Eden Prairie, and Rochester about the value of STEM fields in 21st century
work and learning. This is a onetime appropriation.
