A bill for an act
 relating to agriculture; appropriating money to the Agricultural Utilization Research
Institute.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin AGRICULTURAL UTILIZATION RESEARCH INSTITUTE;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the Agricultural
Utilization Research Institute for the purposes of carrying out the duties under Minnesota
Statutes, chapter 116V, including equipment upgrades, equipment replacement, installation
expenses, and laboratory infrastructure at laboratories in Crookston, Marshall, and Waseca,
Minnesota. This is a onetime appropriation. Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section
16A.28, unencumbered balances under this section do not cancel until June 30, 2026.
