  1.2             relating to local government; applying the amendments 
  1.3             in Laws 1998, chapter 389, article 11, section 6, to 
  1.4             the Brooklyn Park economic development authority's tax 
  1.5             increment financing district No. 18. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [BROOKLYN PARK EDA; TIF DISTRICT NO. 18.] 
  1.8      The 1998 amendments to Minnesota Statutes, section 469.176, 
  1.9   subdivision 7, as set forth in Laws 1998, chapter 389, article 
  1.10  11, section 6, apply to the Brooklyn Park economic development 
  1.11  authority's tax increment financing district No. 18, 
  1.12  notwithstanding the effective date of the amendments. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day after the governing body of 
  1.15  the city of Brooklyn Park and its chief clerical officer timely 
  1.16  complete their compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.17  645.021, subdivisions 2 and 3.
