A bill for an act
relating to education finance; appropriating money for the collaborative urban and
greater Minnesota educators of color grants; amending Laws 2019, First Special
Session chapter 11, article 3, section 22, subdivision 2.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Laws 2019, First Special Session chapter 11, article 3, section 22, subdivision
2, is amended to read:

Subd. 2.

Collaborative urban and greater Minnesota educators of color grants.

(a)
For the collaborative urban and greater Minnesota educators of color grants under Minnesota
Statutes, section 122A.635:

(b) The board may retain up to three percent of the appropriation amount to monitor and
administer the grant program and a portion of these funds may be transferred to the Office
of Higher Education as determined by the executive director of the board and commissioner
to support the administration of the program.

the award recipients for administering and reporting requirements under Minnesota Statutes,
section 122A.635.
