A bill for an act
relating to homelessness; appropriating money for temporary housing, shelters,
and support housing services.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY; 360 COMMUNITIES.

new text begin $17,500,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of the Housing Finance Agency for a grant to 360 Communities to construct at least 30
permanent supportive housing units that provide victims of domestic abuse and their children
temporary housing to prevent homelessness.

Sec. 2. new text begin HUMAN SERVICES; 360 COMMUNITIES.

new text begin (a) $13,000,000 in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of human services for a grant to 360 Communities to construct a new 50-bed
shelter for victims of domestic and sexual violence and their children.

new text begin (b) $533,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $533,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to 360 Communities
for supportive housing services at a new 50-bed shelter.

new text begin (c) $333,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $333,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of human services for a grant to 360 Communities
for supportive housing and after-care services for victims of domestic abuse and their
children while living in temporary housing.
