A bill for an act
relating to corrections; appropriating money for reentry services.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

$500,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of corrections for grants to counties or groups of counties for reentry and
halfway house services. Eligible programs must be proven to reduce recidivism.

This appropriation is added to the base budget of the Department of Corrections.
