relating to human services; appropriating money for a food shelf.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; ISUROON ETHNIC FOOD SHELF.

new text begin (a) $550,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of human services for a grant to the Isuroon Ethnic Food Shelf for startup
costs including but not limited to:

new text begin (1) refrigerators;
new text end

new text begin (2) shelves;
new text end

new text begin (3) staff salaries;
new text end

new text begin (4) rent; and
new text end

new text begin (5) food purchases.

new text begin This is a onetime appropriation.

new text begin (b) $350,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of human services for a grant to the Isuroon Ethnic Food Shelf for costs
including but not limited to:

new text begin (1) staff salaries;
new text end

new text begin (2) food purchases; and
new text end

new text begin (3) evaluation and reporting.

new text begin (c) The base appropriation for this purpose is $275,000 in fiscal year 2018.
