A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to Latino
Communities United in Service (CLUES).

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; LATINO COMMUNITIES UNITED IN SERVICE
(CLUES).

new text begin $750,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the workforce development
fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to
Latino Communities United in Service (CLUES) for programming for tailored workforce
training, job search and placement assistance, employment readiness, and connecting adult
English language learners to higher wage jobs. At least $250,000 of the total appropriation
must be used for programming targeted at greater Minnesota. This appropriation is
available until spent.
