  1.3             to local screenwriters; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $50,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal 
  1.7   year 1999 to the commissioner of trade and economic development 
  1.8   for planning for the millennium screen writing festival, and to 
  1.9   enhance the film making industry in Minnesota by providing 
  1.10  grants to local screenwriters.
