A bill for an act
relating to state lands; authorizing public and private sales of certain tax-forfeited
land that borders public water in Stearns County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
WATER; STEARNS COUNTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,
Stearns County may sell the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in
paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.

new text begin (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the attorney general.

new text begin (c) The land to be sold is located in Stearns County and is described as:

new text begin (1) Lots 6 and 7, Block 1 in Kolling Creek Subdivision, according to the plat and
survey thereof on file and of record in the Office of the County Recorder in and for Stearns
County (PID # 23.14286.000); and

new text begin (2) Lot 6, Block 1 in Nancy Lee Addition, according to the plat and survey thereof
on file and of record in the Office of the County Recorder in and for Stearns County
(PID # 98.60709.105).

new text begin (d) The county has determined that the county's land management interests would
best be served if the lands were returned to private ownership.

Sec. 2. new text begin PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING PUBLIC
WATER; STEARNS COUNTY.

new text begin (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 282.018, subdivision 1,
and the public sale provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Stearns County may sell
by private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in paragraph
(c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.

consideration of taxes due on the property and any penalties, interest, and costs.

new text begin Lot 3 and the North 30 feet of the East 60 feet of Lot 4, Block 28 in the Townsite of
Sauk Centre, according to the plat and survey thereof on file and of record in the
Office of the County Recorder in and for Stearns County (PID # 94.59254.000).
