A bill for an act
relating to solid waste management; allowing recipients to be removed from the
distribution list for telephone directories; amending Minnesota Statutes 2006,
section 115A.951, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 115A.951, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin A distributor of telephone directories shall:

new text begin (1) inform recipients of telephone directories of the opportunity to be removed from
the distribution list for the directory; and
new text end

new text begin (2) remove recipients from the distribution list for the directory when the recipient
responds to the distributor to have their name or location removed from the distribution list.
