A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for railway and highway safety
improvements for pedestrian and bicycle trails in Dakota County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin DAKOTA COUNTY PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE TRAILS;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $6,500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the Metropolitan Council for a grant
to Dakota County for right-of-way acquisition and for predesign, design, engineering, and
construction of pedestrian safety-related improvements, including grade-separated crossings
of railroads and multilane highways in Dakota County. This appropriation includes money
for the Mississippi River Regional Greenway in Rosemount.
