A bill for an act
 relating to human services; appropriating money for community action agencies.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCIES.

new text begin $1,500,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2008 and $1,500,000 is appropriated
in fiscal year 2009 from the TANF fund to the commissioner of human services to be
transferred to community action agencies for auto repairs or auto purchase grants to
individuals with children whose income makes them eligible to receive benefits under
Minnesota Statutes, chapter 256J. Each community action agency administering funds
under this appropriation shall provide a ten percent match using either nonstate funds
or in-kind services.
