relating to environment; appropriating money for Central Iron Range Sanitary
Sewer District.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CENTRAL IRON RANGE SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $....... in fiscal year 2018 is appropriated from the general fund to the Public Facilities
Authority for a grant to the Central Iron Range Sanitary Sewer District to investigate and
repair the city of Buhl's sewage collection system to address severe surface water inflow
and groundwater infiltration sources to prevent sewage overflow. Of this amount:

new text begin (1) $100,000 is to investigate and identify the sources of clear water into the Buhl sewage
collection system that cause high peak flows that reach the capacity of the system lift station
and have the potential to overflow the system and to assess the condition of the system for
facility planning, including the use of closed-circuit television camera technology to inspect
lines; and
