  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to economic development; providing funding 
  1.3             for job training and related services provided by the 
  1.4             St. Paul rehabilitation center; appropriating money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [ST. PAUL REHABILITATION CENTER; 
  1.7   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $500,000 is appropriated from the workforce development 
  1.9   fund to the commissioner of trade and economic development in 
  1.10  fiscal year 2001 for a grant to the St. Paul Rehabilitation 
  1.11  Center for programs to improve the self-sufficiency of persons 
  1.12  who are disadvantaged; including services in the CAREER 
  1.13  collaborative for refugees and immigrants related to developing 
  1.14  job-seeking skills and workplace orientation, functional work 
  1.15  English, and on-site job coaching.
