  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; modifying lifetime deer 
  1.3             hunting license provisions; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 2002, section 97A.473, subdivision 4. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 97A.473, 
  1.7   subdivision 4, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 4.  [LIFETIME DEER HUNTING LICENSE; FEE.] (a) A 
  1.9   resident lifetime deer hunting license authorizes a person to 
  1.10  take deer with firearms or by archery in the state.  The license 
  1.11  authorizes those activities authorized by the annual resident 
  1.12  firearm deer hunting license or the annual resident archery deer 
  1.13  hunting license.  The licensee must register and receive tags 
  1.14  each year that the license is used.  The tags shall be issued at 
  1.15  no charge to the licensee. 
  1.16     (b) The fees for a resident lifetime firearm or archery 
  1.17  deer hunting license are: 
  1.18     (1) age 3 and under, $337; 
  1.19     (2) age 4 to age 15, $450; 
  1.20     (3) age 16 to age 50, $573; and 
  1.21     (4) age 51 and over, $383. 
  1.22     (c) A resident lifetime deer hunting license to take deer 
  1.23  with firearms is valid for both the regular firearms and 
  1.24  muzzleloader seasons, but the licensee may take only one deer 
  1.25  each year, except as provided under section 97B.301.
