relating to transportation; requiring transportation contracts to specify use of
approved products and materials; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota
Statutes, chapter 161.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS.

new text begin To ensure efficacy and safety in transportation construction projects, the
commissioner shall, in all specifications, prescribe the use of products and materials
approved by standards developers accredited by the American National Standards
Institute, unless no standards exist for the type of product or material.
