  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; appropriating money to 
  1.3             the board of water and soil resources for management 
  1.4             of small nonindustrial private forest lands. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [MANAGEMENT OF SMALL NONINDUSTRIAL PRIVATE 
  1.7   FOREST LANDS; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $400,000 is appropriated from the general fund in fiscal 
  1.9   year 1999 to the board of water and soil resources to provide 
  1.10  natural resource management of nonindustrial private forest land 
  1.11  holdings of 20 acres or less.  This appropriation must be used 
  1.12  to develop management plans, provide technical assistance, and 
  1.13  provide information for owners and users of these lands.
