  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to bonding; providing funding to the Iron 
  1.3             Range resources and rehabilitation board for certain 
  1.4             projects of a capital nature; authorizing bonds; 
  1.5             appropriating money. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [IRON RANGE RESOURCES AND REHABILITATION BOARD; 
  1.8   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.9      $8,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.10  the commissioner of the Iron Range resources and rehabilitation 
  1.11  board for the purposes specified in this section: 
  1.12     (1) $2,000,000 for the design, construction, and 
  1.13  implementation of a technology host center for northeastern 
  1.14  Minnesota; 
  1.15     (2) $1,000,000 to upgrade historical exhibits and archives 
  1.16  at the Iron Range interpretive center; 
  1.17     (3) $1,000,000 for the design and construction of a 
  1.18  regional warm weather testing facility; 
  1.19     (4) $1,000,000 for the design and construction of a major 
  1.20  motorplex; and 
  1.21     (5) $3,000,000 to develop the trunk highway No. 169 
  1.22  corridor between Hibbing and Chisholm. 
  1.23     Sec. 2.  [BOND AUTHORIZATION.] 
  1.24     To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond 
  1.25  proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue 
  2.1   bonds of the state in an amount up to $8,000,000 in the manner, 
  2.2   upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota 
  2.3   Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota 
  2.4   Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
