A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; requiring notice to local governments by
nongovernmental organizations acquiring fee title to land with money from the
outdoor heritage fund and the environment and natural resources trust fund;
amending Minnesota Statutes 2016, sections 97A.056, by adding a subdivision;
116P.08, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 97A.056, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Before entering into a purchase agreement to acquire land in fee title with money in whole
or in part from the outdoor heritage fund, a nongovernmental organization must notify the
county board and the town board where the land is located and furnish them a description
of the land to be acquired. The county board and town board may provide to the council
resolutions favoring or opposing the land sale.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, section 116P.08, is amended by adding a subdivision to
read:
