  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to retirement; eliminating contribution rate 
  1.3             increases in the local government correctional service 
  1.4             retirement plan; amending Laws 2000, chapter 461, 
  1.5             article 10, section 3, as amended; repealing Laws 
  1.6             2000, chapter 461, article 10, section 2. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Laws 2000, chapter 461, article 10, section 3, 
  1.9   as amended by Laws 2001, First Special Session chapter 10, 
  1.10  article 3, section 28, is amended to read: 
  1.11     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.12     Section 1 is effective on the day following final enactment.
  1.13  Section 2 is effective on the first day of the first full pay 
  1.14  period beginning after January 1, 2003. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.16     Laws 2000, chapter 461, article 10, section 2, is repealed. 
  1.17     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
