relating to public safety; appropriating money to promote importance of and recruit
peace officers.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin PROMOTING PEACE OFFICERS; APPROPRIATION.

$1,000,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2023 to the commissioner of public safety to
work in coordination with the POST Board to implement a marketing and advertising
campaign to publicly promote the importance of peace officers for the safety of Minnesotans
and to recruit more persons into law enforcement careers.
