 relating to game and fish; modifying requirements for quartering deer; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 97A.535, subdivision 2a.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 97A.535, subdivision 2a, is amended to
read:


Subd. 2a.

Quartering of deer allowed.

A deer that has been tagged as required
in subdivision 1 may be quartered at the site of the kill. deleted text begin The animal's head must remain
attached to one of the quarters.deleted text end The quarters must be presented together for registration
under subdivision 2 and must remain together until the deer is processed for storage.
