  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; providing for a 
  1.3             grant to the city of Woodbury for the Woodbury Center 
  1.4             for the Arts; authorizing issuance of state bonds; 
  1.5             appropriating money. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $1,500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.9   the commissioner of trade and economic development for a grant 
  1.10  to the city of Woodbury to construct the Woodbury Center for the 
  1.11  Arts, subject to the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.12  16A.695. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.14     To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the 
  1.15  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 
  1.16  the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.17  amount up to $1,500,000 in the manner, on the terms, and with 
  1.18  the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.19  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.20  4 to 7. 
  1.21     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.22     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.23  enactment.
