  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; directing the commissioner of 
  1.3             transportation to reconstruct a segment of marked 
  1.4             trunk highway No. 55.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [TRUNK HIGHWAY NO. 55; RECONSTRUCTION.] 
  1.7      By July 1, 2006, the commissioner of highways shall 
  1.8   undertake a reconstruction of marked trunk highway No. 55, from 
  1.9   its intersection with Grant county highway No. 11 in Wendell to 
  1.10  its intersection with marked trunk highway No. 29 near 
  1.11  Glenwood.  The reconstruction of the highway must leave the 
  1.12  highway as a two-lane undivided highway but must include (1) 
  1.13  widening of lanes, and (2) straightening of curves and leveling 
  1.14  of grades where feasible and desirable for enhanced mobility and 
  1.15  highway safety.
