A bill for an act
 relating to education finance; clarifying that no minimum acreage requirement
applies to a school site for Independent School District No. 347, Willmar.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin WILLMAR SCHOOL SITE ACREAGE LIMIT.

new text begin The commissioner of education must not issue a negative or unfavorable review and
comment under Minnesota Statutes, section 123B.70, for a school facility proposed by
Independent School District No. 347, Willmar, based on the acreage of the proposed
school site. The district must demonstrate to the commissioner's satisfaction that: the
school site will be large enough to adequately provide for the students' recreational needs,
parking and traffic flow at the school site will not compromise student safety, and there is
no need for future expansion at that school site.
