BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin Notwithstanding section 13.685 or any other law to the contrary, a public utility,
cooperative electric association, or municipality that disconnects a customer's gas or
electric service must notify the municipal or other water utility serving the customer of
the disconnection.
