A bill for an act
 relating to public safety; establishing a sale of or possession of salvia divinorum
crime; providing for a penalty; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, section
152.027, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 152.027, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin (a) A person who unlawfully
sells any amount of salvia divinorum or salvinorin A is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.

A is guilty of a misdemeanor.
